Strategic content merchandising
Peacock’s best-in-class approach to Olympics content merchandising empowered users to curate their own experience from the Opening Ceremony on. A secondary navigation was launched to help with wayfinding, allowing users to filter by live event, find replays, share clips, and create playlists.
We designed a customized set of pictograms to support the discovery of relevant content, ensuring they more clearly represented each sport and fit appropriately within the Peacock brand. The result was a clearer experience that featured inclusive forms and shapes. Angles, movement, and scalable guidelines brought the design language to life.

A Five Star Review from the Downstream Podcast
“I think this is literally the best Olympics experience I have had thus far. I am shocked at how well Peacock has handled the organization...it is completely satisfying to me. I think they kind of nailed it – paying $5 for the whole Olympics I think that is pretty awesome.”
Jason Snell
“I have had the Olympics on all day whilst I am at work and it’s great. The ads are not terrible in terms of frequency. Everything else is good. There is no glitching, freezing or buffering. The sound is great, the visual is great. I will jump back and forth between Peacock and YouTube TV and this is just as good as what I’m paying $60 for.”
